Dani Schneider, CTA,  has been promoted to  Choose Lansing’s Sales Manager. She was formerly Choose Lansing’s sales and services coordinator. Since joining the team in 2022, Schneider has played a key role in booking short-term events, planning CVB meetings and providing other essential support to the sales and services team. In her new role, she will focus on selling to social, military, education, religious and fraternal groups.

Ashley Ochse is the newly appointed Director of Sales & Marketing at Waldorf Astoria Chicago. She previously served as the director and complex director of catering sales & event management at Waldorf Astoria Chicago from December 2013 to January 2017. Most recently, she served as the director of sales, group & catering at The St. Regis Chicago where she was a part of the hotel’s opening team.

Rahul Vir has been named general manager of the Marriott Long Beach Downtown. The hotel is scheduled to open in June. Vir has more than three decades of global hospitality experience. He joined Marriott International at the Renaissance São Paulo Hotel. He later was the area vice president for South America. Fluent in English, Portuguese, Spanish and Hindi, he is a board member of Visit Long Beach.
