National Restaurant Association Hosting Summer Travel Webinar… Delving into summer travel, the National Restaurant Association’s webinar will explore insights from the association’s latest summer travel and tourism research while bringing together industry experts, restaurant operators, and tourism leaders.

Dr. Chad Moutray, Chief Economist and Sr. Vice President of Research, National Restaurant Association, will moderate.

The session will focus on opportunities, how consumer travel behavior is evolving, and what restaurants can do to drive traffic, manage costs, and remain competitive in a more uncertain environment.

“Summer has traditionally been a powerful economic driver for restaurants, hospitality, and destination-based businesses,” the association said. “In 2026, however, operators are entering the season amid a more complex landscape amid economic uncertainties, tighter discretionary spending, and evolving travel patterns. At the same time, the U.S. economy remains resilient, and many consumers plan to travel this summer, with dining out seen as a top activity for summer travelers.

“In addition, global and national events—including the FIFA World Cup and America 250 celebrations—are expected to generate travel demand and consumer excitement across many U.S. markets. For restaurant operators, the key question is not just whether demand will materialize, but how to position their businesses to capture it effectively.”

American Heart Association Teaming with FIFA on CPR Training… From June 10 to July 19, the American Heart Association will host the Nation of Lifesavers mobile CPR unit at FIFA Fan Festivals in Atlanta, Dallas and Philadelphia. The festivals are expected to draw thousands of visitors from around the world.
The CPR unit will also appear at the Central Park Mini Pitch and was at the New York New Jersey Fan Zone earlier this month.

“By offering Hands-Only CPR instruction at FIFA Fan Festivals, thousands of people can join the Nation of Lifesavers and help more communities feel prepared to take action when every second counts,” said Nancy Brown, CEO, American Heart Association. “More than half of people who experience cardiac arrest outside a hospital don’t receive CPR before emergency responders arrive. That’s why we are committed to ensuring more people are trained, confident, and ready to act as a lifesaver in a cardiac emergency.”

The Nation of Lifesavers mobile CPR unit is being organized in close collaboration with FIFA Medical, the medical and health division of FIFA, responsible for protecting and improving the health of soccer players worldwide. The initiative supports the association’s goal to double the survival rates of cardiac arrest by 2030.

“Soccer has a unique ability to unite communities across cultures and generations,” said Andrew Massey, FIFA Medical Director. “By incorporating Hands-Only CPR training into the FIFA Fan Festival experience, fans can leave with more than memories from the tournament—they can leave with the confidence to help save a life during a cardiac emergency.”

This marks the American Heart Association’s first appearance at a FIFA event and its 10th appearance at a major sporting event. Appearances include Super Bowls, NFL Drafts and an NBA All-Star Game.
