Monica Kirn-Pea, CMP, CVP, is now Visit Spokane’s Vice President of Sales & Services. She joins the organization with more than a decade of experience in convention center and hotel sales, recently serving as director of sales of the Oregon Convention Center and Portland Expo Center. She earned a Certified Venue Professional (CVP) credential from the International Association of Venue Managers. She has participated with IAVM and PCMA.

Melissa Arreola has been promoted to Sr. Regional Sales Director for the Northeast United States at Velas Resort. The company operates a collection of luxury properties in Mexico. In this role, Arreola will spearhead strategic initiatives to deepen Velas Resorts’ presence throughout the northeastern part of the U.S. She joined the company in 2014 and was the corporate contracts & administrative manager of meetings & incentives.

Jordan Steffan, CVP, has been named Operations Manager for the Fort Worth Convention Center. Formerly the director of sales at the Will Rogers Memorial Center, Steffan continues her five-year leadership role within the City of Fort Worth’s Public Events Department by overseeing event coordinators and operations teams at the center. In July, Steffan earned a Certified Venue Professional (CVP) credential from the International Association of Venue Managers.

Tesha Mascarenhas has been hired as the Director of Operations of the JW Marriott Clearwater Beach Resort & Spa in Florida. She has more than 19 years of experience across Marriott’s luxury and premium portfolios and joins the resort following her tenure as the resident manager at the JW Marriott Bonnet Creek. Her background includes posts at JW Marriott Orlando Grande Lakes and JW Marriott Marco Island.

Linda Jean is now the Spa Director at the Westin Nashville. Jean brings more than 14 years of experience leading spa operations and developing holistic wellness programming. Her background includes leadership roles with Auberge Resorts and multiple country clubs. She is a certified neuromuscular massage therapist and wellness educator. At Rhapsody Spa she will lead the property’s wellness offerings while fostering connections between guests and holistic wellbeing.
