Stacey Church

Stacey Church is now COO of the Georgia World Congress Center Authority (GWCCA). Church joins the center team from Dallas Fair Park, where she served as general manager. Prior to her tenure at Dallas Fair Park, she spent almost five years as assistant general manager at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas. Her career also includes various leadership roles at the Fort Worth Convention Center.

Jeffery Modaff

Jeffery Modaff has been named General Manager of Hotel 1000 in Seattle. LXR Hotels & Resorts made the announcement. He joins Hotel 1000 from Conrad Los Angeles, where he served as opening hotel manager. Modaff has held executive positions at Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort & Club and Shade Hotel Manhattan Beach. During his nearly 25-year career, he’s also worked at the Ojai Valley Inn in California.

 

Jennifer Colangelo

Jennifer Colangelo has been hired by Hospitality America as General Manager of the Element by Westin Charleston Airport, scheduled to open in April. Colangelo came to Hospitality America with a long operations background, opening and managing hotels for companies such as Raines Hospitality and Premier Hospitality Group. Most recently, she served as a regional director of operations overseeing eight Hilton, Choice, Hyatt, Marriott and Best Western hotels.

Giuseppe Marchesini

Giuseppe Marchesini has been tapped as Director of Food and Beverage at Alila Ventana Big Sur in California. Marchesini brings more than 25 years of experience. His career began in his native Italy, where he attended hospitality school before working at the Kulm Hotel in St. Moritz and Palazzo Sasso on the Amalfi Coast. Prior to his new post, he led operations at the Meadowood Napa Valley.

 

 

Anthony Gutierrez

Anthony Gutierrez has been named General Manager of Hotel Lucile, a Casetta Hotels property in Silver Lake, California. The hotel is set to open in April. He previously served as general manager of The Pearl Hotel, a Casetta Hotels property, in San Diego’s Point Loma neighborhood. He also worked at Heritage Hotels & Resorts, Rosewood Hotels & Resorts and for Hilton Worldwide, occupying roles in various areas.

 

 

 

Tharon Weighill

Tharon Weighill is the new Executive Chef at FIRE Restaurant & Lounge at The ART Hotel Denver, Curio Collection by Hilton. He studied at the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco. He has worked at a variety of establishments around Colorado, including the Denver Country Club and Ste. Elle and spent a few years with TAG restaurant group. He also was executive chef of the Marriott Boulder.
